FIRST Lego League
What is FLL for us?
For over a decade, Planck Team has been a constant on the international FLL stage, representing Italy at world championships across three continents. FLL is where we discover what robotics can do — and what we can do together.
How we compete
Every season, a group of around thirty students tackles a real-world challenge. We design and program an autonomous robot from LEGO components, but that’s only half the story. The other half is the innovation project — a meaningful solution to a problem we’ve researched, consulted experts about, and refined until it’s genuinely useful.
Our innovative projects reflect this approach: from ocean monitoring systems developed with CNR research institutes, to virtual museum platforms, to archaeological field tools built with hardware and software working in tandem. We don’t stop at building something that works; we dig into the problem, consult domain experts, and push until the solution is genuinely meaningful.
Why FLL matters to us
FLL teaches us how to think like innovators. It’s about asking the right questions, collaborating across disciplines, and presenting ideas with clarity and passion. When we stand in front of the judges, we’re not just showing a robot — we’re sharing a journey.
