About Us
Who are we?
Planck Team is the robotics program from Istituto Max Planck in Villorba, Treviso — and for over a decade, we have been one of Italy’s most consistent presences on the international robotics stage, competing across three continents in multiple FIRST programs.
How we actually work
What makes us who we are isn’t just the trophies. It’s how we work. Every season, a group of around thirty students from different backgrounds and disciplines comes together not as a collection of individuals, but as a single unit with a shared goal. Engineers work alongside scientists, builders alongside programmers, and everyone contributes to every aspect of what we do. No role is isolated. No effort goes unnoticed.
Sometimes we win, sometimes we lose, but we always compete with intent — preparing rigorously, trusting each other under pressure, and showing up at every event as a team that wants to be there. That drive, more than any individual result, is what defines Planck Team.
Our competitive programs
We compete across multiple FIRST programs, each demanding different skills but united by the same values:
- FIRST LEGO League (FLL) — autonomous robotics, innovation projects, and real-world problem solving
- FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) — head-to-head competition, complex engineering, and high-performance systems
